
Carrie Bounds-Hart, 77 of Advance, formerly of Sikeston died August 9, 2011 at the Advance Nursing Center. She was born on November 2, 1933, in Clinton KY to the late Woodrow and Pearlie Marie Crawford Jones. She was baptized at the Mayfield Baptist Church in 1947 at Mayfield, KY. She was later baptized in 1954 at East Prairie into the Pentecostal faith. She owned and operated Harts Auto Cleaning with her husband, Thomas Hart from 1971 until 1979. She had been employed by Lamberts Café for many years making the famous rolls. She was also a member of the Smith Avenue Church of God in Sikeston. In 1950 she was married to Emmett Earl Bounds who preceded her in death. In 1960 she was married to Thomas F. Hart who also preceded her. In addition to her husband she was also preceded by one sister, one brother and two grandchildren.
Survivors include 5 children and spouses; Emmett Earl Jr. and Hurumi Bounds of Cape Girardeau, Floyd Dale and Lucy Bounds of Gulf Breeze FL, Patricia Ann Warren of Benton, Edward and Kelly Hart of Sturdivant and Douglas Wayne Hart of Doniphan; two brothers and three sisters. 18 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren also survive.
Visitation will be at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel on Thursday, August 11 from 10:00am until time of service at 11:00am. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
