
Connie Mac Sells, age 79, of Matthews, died Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Close to Home Nursing Center in Matthews. Born April 30, 1936, in Matthews, to the late Ben and Clara Jarvis Sells, he and his late wife, Annie Lee Sells, co-founded Sells Rest Home in 1972. He also owned and maintained a farm in Bloomfield, and was a member of the First Christian Church in Matthews. On July 12, 1998, in Paducah, Ky., he was married to Tammy Guiling, who survives.
Additional survivors include: four sons, John Sells of St. Peters, Ronnie Sells of Fountain Hills, Ariz., Joey (Kara) Guiling of Dexter and Chris (Pam) Guiling of Columbia; two brothers, Jerry Frohock of St. Louis and Vernon Frohock of Sullivan; and eleven grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by one sister, Tootsie Frohock.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 14, with Bro. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of the Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Matthews Cemetery.
