Gerald J. Herring

Jerry was born in Richmond, California, on December 22, 1942, to Patricia Meyers and Charles Herring.

He is survived by his wife, Anniese (Huffstutler) Herring; his children, Patricia Felsch (Terry), Pamela Orris (Byron); Jerry Herring (Karen); Shawn Herring (Lori) and Abby Sexton; and sister, Norma Amey. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Glenda Albert; and late wife, Glenda Herring.

Jerry lived previously in Napa Valley, California, where he worked in the climate control and refrigeration fields. In 1998, he moved to Sikeston, where he eventually retired.

Jerry loved the Lord above all. He tried his best to serve the Lord with the gifts the Lord had given him. He will be remembered for his love of the Lord, sharing the gospel and his love and strength.

A visitation with family and friends will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2026, at Old Bethel Baptist Church, 180 County Road 449, Sikeston, with the service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
