Michael Allen Beaver

Mike was born on January 1, 1961, in Advance, Missouri. On December 1 of that same year, he became the cherished and deeply loved son of Gordon and Mary Beaver, who welcomed him into their hearts and family with unwavering love. Though both of his parents preceded him in death, the love and values they gave him remained a guiding force throughout his life.

Mike loved life fiercely and lived it entirely on his own terms, chasing every dream with passion and heart. Music was woven into the fabric of who he was. As the founder and manager of the band Southern Delight, he spent more than 25 years sharing his love of music across Florida, leaving memories and melodies everywhere he went. Mike’s talent was undeniable, whether he was behind the drums, strumming his guitar, or singing in that rich, heartfelt country voice that could stop you in your tracks. When Mike played, you didn’t just hear the music, you felt the joy, freedom, and soul he poured into every note.

Scuba diving wasn’t just a hobby for Mike; it was where his soul came alive. A pirate at heart, he chased the mysteries hidden beneath the waters off the coasts of Florida and Mexico, diving fearlessly into the deep blue in search of forgotten treasures. Every piece he brought home carried a story, and Mike could bring each one to life with the spark in his eyes and the excitement in his voice. There were endless stories, each one a reflection of the adventure, wonder, and passion that defined him.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Julie, grandson Oaklan, brother Gary (Debbie) Beaver of Dunnellon, FL, nephew Alan Beaver, longtime friend and band member Richard Upright, good friend Joyce Schlener and lifetime friend Monica Burnett.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO followed by a graveside service at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
