

He was born on November 6, 1936 in Walnut, MS., to the late William “Billy” Calvin and Jewel Shelton Wright.
On July 4, 1966 in Cairo, IL. he married Beverly Huls Wright who survives of the home; they were married for fifty-six years.
Neil worked for Heart’s Bakery in Sikeston, MO. for 38 years as floor supervisor before retiring.
He is survived by one son, Michael Neil Wright of Memphis, TN.; two daughters, Rae Marie (Tim) Barnett of Glasgow, KY., Renee (Keith) Hornback of Sikeston, MO.; two sisters, Shirley Edison and Dorothy Windham of New Albany, MS.; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Capt. James ”Jimmy” Wright, Elbert (Myrle) Wright and Charles Wright, Col. William Wright (Jr.) Forehand and one sister Marjorie Roffman, and one son James Calvin (Cal) Wright.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO. with Dewayne Coleman, Pastor of Canalou Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
