

Pearl Lindsey, age 91, of Sikeston, died at 9:00 a.m. on February 8, 2016 at the Miner Nursing Center, following an extended illness. Born April 29, 1924, in Russellville, Ark., to the late Aldie Baldin and Lou Cordilia Zachary, she was a homemaker. On December 23, 1939, in New Madrid, she married Grover C. Lindsey, who preceded her in death on December 21, 2012.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Merlin and Linda Lindsey of Hernando, Miss. and Bill and Barbara Lindsey of Sikeston; one daughter, Harriet Simmons of DeQuincy, La.; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; as well as her many friends at the Miner Nursing Center.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Gary Lindsey; two brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. until time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 10, at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, with Bro. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of the Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
