Samuel D. White, 77, of Sikeston, died March 1, 2016, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston. Born November 5, 1938, in Ridgely, Tenn., to the late Flaudie and Lillian Spence White, he was a retired auto mechanic and attended the Old Bethel Baptist Church. On December 25, 1979, in Sikeston, he married Patricia Cloyd, who preceded him in death on June 3, 2013.
In addition to three sons and two daughters, he is survived by four brothers, Dan White of Wappapello, Kenneth and Velma White of Bloomfield, Bill and Jeannie White of Union and Jim and Georgia White of Herrin, Ill.; and three sisters, Christine Smith, Jeannie White and Sheila Gee, all of Sikeston.
He was preceded in death by one brother, James Lee White, and one sister, Judy White.
No public services are scheduled.
