

She was born on October 17, 1949 in Risco, MO. to the late Adolph and Carrie Williams Miller.
She was a member at North Acres General Baptist Church in Sikeston, MO. for over seventy-one years.
She graduated from Sikeston High School in 1968.
Shelia worked at The Child Development Center before moving on to Fleming from 1977 to 1998, as well as the Missouri Baptist Girls Home from 1999 to 2002, Missouri Delta Medical Center, and Miner Baptist Church from 2002 to 2009. She also spent many years working for the Standard Democrat in Sikeston, MO.
She was a Volunteer Grandparent at the Sikeston Library and Sikeston Schools for five years.
On September 4, 1970 in Sikeston, MO. she married Charles Hawkins who survives of the home in Sikeston, MO. They had a double wedding with close friends at North Acres General Baptist Church.
Other survivors include one son, Matthew (Dawn) Hawkins, of Sikeston MO., one daughter Heather (Kevin) Jackson of Sikeston, MO. and five grandchildren Jasmine Adams, Gretchen Hawkins, Elizabeth Hawkins, Ethan Hawkins, and Lorelai Hawkins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Junior Miller and one sister, Patricia Dabbs.
Shelia was a strong-willed woman, surviving both breast cancer and a liver transplant. She served the Lord all her life and valued her family above all else.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, MO where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Bro. Charles Woodard and Bro. Kris Alexander, officiating.
Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Morley, MO.
