Dad was born October 3, 1946, in Sikeston, Missouri to Enfield "Buddy" Lambert and Genevia Maxine (Holden) Lambert. He graduated from Sikeston Senior High School Class of 1964. AFter high school, he went on to further his education by attending x-ray technician school in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Upon completion, he began working at Ferguson Medical Group where he created a long and successful career for himself by continuing to take advantage of additional educational opportunities and working his way up to management then ultimately retiring from Ferguson Medical Group with close to 40 years with the company. He was proud of the work he did at Ferguson Medical Group and in the process he showed us first hand the meaning of 'work ethic' and 'paying your dues'.
Over the years, Dad was briefly involved with the Sikeston Jaycees and Kiwanis Club in Sikeston, Missouri. Anybody that truly knew him, knew he was a very private and giving man that found joy in doing for others. He taught us that 'you learn more from listening than you do from talking' and reminded us frequently that we should always hold our heads up high and keep a smile on our face. He was known for his stellar sense of humor and always loved to 'cut-up' with others just to get a laugh. He had MAD cooking/grilling skills and loved to share a meal with those lucky enough to be invited to his table.
He is survived by two daughters: Julia Kellick (Tim) of St. Peters, Missouri and Alison L. Diamond of Sikeston, Missouri and two sons: JW White (Beth Taylor) and Erik White, both of Sikeston, Missouri; five grandchildren: Ben Kellick (Taylor Kellick) of St. Louis, Missouri, Claire Kellick of Chicago, Illinois, Darek H. Diamond of Farmington, Missouri, Dylan A. Diamond of Sikeston, Missouri and Kaeden White of East Prairie, Missouri and 2 Great Grandchildren:
Kirby White of East Prairie, Missouri and Crew Kellick of St Louis, Missouri. We would be remiss if we didn't mention a very special life-long friend: Jane Bess Blanton of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who has always been more of a sister to Dad. Lastly, River (and Shadow and Jessie and Charmin) won't soon forget their best human buddy, as Dad loved the pets sometimes more than he loved us!
Dad was preceded in death by his parents: Enfield "Buddy" Lambert and Genevia Maxine (Holden) Lambert, one brother: Gary Lambert and his wife: Pam Lambert.
Pallbearers will be Erik White, Kaeden White, Ben Kellick, Jiggs Moore, Chad Freeland and Wayne Ward. Honorary pallbearer will be Tim Kellick.
