
Alan is survived by his devoted wife, Renay Weissman, and his beloved children, Aaron and Elliott(Karen) Drew, Mark, Adam, and Justin(Raquel) Weissman. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Miranda, Jared, Ella, and Caroline, who brought him immense joy.
Throughout his life, Alan dedicated himself to the practice of law, serving as a respected criminal defense attorney and sharing his knowledge as an adjunct professor at several universities. His professional legacy is matched only by his commitment to his community, where he was known for his integrity, generosity, and steadfast involvement.
Beyond his career, Alan found joy in the outdoors, with a particular passion for hiking and exploring nature. In every sphere of his life, Alan touched countless lives, leaving behind an enduring legacy of love, wisdom, and integrity.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association.
Alan will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
A memorial service will be held at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, located at 11800 New Hampshire Ave, Silver Spring, Maryland, 20904. The service is scheduled for September 30, 2025, starting at 10:00 am.
