To everyone who came to pay their respect to Mike I want to say thank you.
It was such a comfort to see how many people loved Mike as much as me and his family. We so appreciate also the flowers, Mass cards and donations to St Andrew. We were so bless to have him in our lives. He smile was a ray of sunshine.

How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.... these words repeat, over and over again in my head. While the pain of losing you is almost too much to bear, I try to find comfort in how lucky I was and still am for having you as my Uncle. You were a second dad to me... you taught me to park and took me driving when Dad had to put in late hours. You were always there to fix something, paint, or hang pictures. When Matt and I married you helped turn the basement into our home, when we built our town house, you went on the walk through with us because Dad was out of town, and when we built our dream home you snuck in to see it and helped us prepare it. How lucky was I? However, most importantly, you were always there. Your smiling face sat in the crowded auditorium our of dance recitals. You always saw us off to homecomings and proms, and you shared in our pride as we graduated and accomplished major life goals. And you were by my Dad's side taking shots as I walked down the stairs in my wedding dress. How lucky was I? I know in weeks to come that those memories will out weigh the pain. I know that you didn't realize it but you taught me so much about life. You taught me to be brave and strong, to fight for what I wanted, and most importantly, that no matter the time that has passed family will never leave you standing alone. I love you so very much Uncle Mike, more than I could ever express. I know that you now have the best seat in the house for all of our upcoming milestones. When you can, give us signs that you are there, we may need the reminder. We promise to be with Aunt Lona and all those who need us most just as you always did for us. Fly high my most precious guardian angel.

Dear Lona, we are so very sorry for your loss.  You are in our minds and prayers.  Mike will greatly be missed. Sorry we are unable to be there to support you due to my knee surgery, nbut we are with you with our hearts.

Dearest Lona, We cannot find the words to express how deeply sorry we are for your loss. We were both so lucky and blessed to have shared many fun times with you and Mike in Alaska. You are both like friends we have known for years. We send prayers for you and your wonderful family. Mike will be forever smiling down upon you from above.
