Ann Haley-King

Ann M. Haley-King, age 64, of Greenbelt MD, passed away peacefully at home on February 3, 2020. She was the cherished wife of Kem, devoted mother of Joshua, is also survived by her sister Joan and Joan’s three children, and was a beloved friend and colleague to many. She will be greatly missed by all.

Ann was a unique and memorable soul who cared profoundly about connecting with and helping people. She enjoyed many longstanding and deep relationships, and touched all with her kindness, compassion, sense of humor, expertise, strength, and curiosity. Ann was passionately dedicated to her profession of speech pathology, was an expert cook who delighted in hosting gatherings, and she also enjoyed reading, travelling, music, and cheering the Boston Red Sox.

Ann was raised in Quincy MA, attended Emerson College, then moved to Maryland to earn her master’s degree at George Washington University and pursue her career as a speech pathologist. Most recently she worked for 25+ years at Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham MD.

A gathering to celebrate Ann’s life will be held on February 22, 2020 from 11:00am - 1:30pm at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home 11800 New Hampshire Avenue Silver Spring, MD 20904. Attendees will have opportunity to share their memories starting at 11:30am.
