Arturo was a homebody, who loved staying home and taking care of things at home. Arturo was easy to like and easy to love - - generous, giving, peaceful, quiet, thoughtful, industrious, hard-working, and intensely loyal.
Arturo worked a couple of internships at NASA in one of their computer divisions; while studying Computer Science at the University of Maryland. It was during this time that he also developed a lifelong passion for fantasy role playing games, as well as fantasy and science fiction stories and movies.
Eventually, Arturo went to work for PSAV, a large national AV company. He started out as a temporary or part-time worker and remained in that status for years, despite working greater than a full-time schedule. Eventually, he became Operations Manager.
Arturo’s favorite way to spend a weekend was sitting in his computer room with several computers going at the same time so he could play 2 or more online roll-playing games while simultaneously watching 1 or 2 movies. He also enjoyed playing on-line role playing games with his wife Stephani and you could occasionally hear them giggling from their computer room while playing games together.
Arturo collected fantasy swords, limited edition skate boards, dragons, gargoyles, tacky wall-mounted talking animals (like the singing bass), movies, and superhero books. Arturo was a homebody and always preferred to spend time at home, whether playing games, grilling for the family, or helping mom Hilda or sister Lizzie with anything. His love for his dog Holli was tremendous. Wherever he went in the house, Holli followed.
Anyone who met Arturo liked him immediately, and many loved him because of his generous and agreeable good nature. He never spoke ill of people even when they did him wrong, and was able to maintain lifelong friendships that started in elementary school and continued until he passed.
