Betty Treger Kligman

On Thursday, November 25, 2021, Betty Kligman, of Selbyville, Delaware passed away. Betty was born in Washington, DC. She was married to the love of her life, the late Theodore Kligman, for over 60 years. She was the devoted mother of Dr. Joseph B. Kligman, Dr. Kenneth D. Kligman (Marcea) and Tracey K. McCabe (J.P.); cherished grandmother of Brittany Kligman, Courtney Weitz (Paul), Jacob McCabe and Hannah McCabe; great-grandmother of Sutton Mae Weitz and Theodore Weitz.

Betty, a Washingtonian, grew up among numerous people with whom she developed fulfilling lifelong friendships. As a mother and grand mother she provided guidance, love and inspiration. Possessing a strong intellectual curiosity, she was well travelled and very well read. Betty spent many years devoting her organizational skills to fundraising and advocacy to benefit health related issues.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, November 28, 2 p.m. at the Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park, 14321 Comus Rd. Clarksburg, MD 20871, Friends and family will be received at the residence of Tracey and J.P. McCabe immediately afterward, Shiva will be observed at their residence Sunday evening.
