As I reflect on the many holidays past. I think of the times Barry and I shared with Cam and her lovely family. As difficult as it has been this year without Barry after fifty one years together. I am uplifted with the spirit of Christmas and decorated my home once more. There are so many happy memories as I look at the decorations Cam gave  us, they are all out on display. My favorite memory of Cam is when she stood at the top of the winding staircase in her lovely green gown. I was able to capture that vision with my camera. 
Thank you dear Cam for being our friend.

WE ARE HEART BROKEN OVER THE LOSS OF ONE OF THE DEAREST FRIEND'S ONE COULD EVER WISH  FOR.
WE REMEMBER THE WONDERFUL PARTY'S AND THE WARMTH WE RECEIVED FROM CAM.
I WILL MISS OUR MANY PHONE CALLS, WE COULD TALK ABOUT ANY SUBJECT AND CAM WAS UP TO DATE ON ALL OF THE TOPICS.
WE HAD SO MANY HAPPY MEMORIES GOING BACK SO MANY YEARS. THE LUNCHEONS WERE ALWAYS FUN. 
CAM LOOKED FORWARD TO THE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS AT OUR HOME IN SILVER SPRING AND SHE ALWAYS BROUGHT SOMETHING TO ADD TO THE FESTIVITIES.
LITTLE DID WE KNOW CAM COULD OUT DO EVERY CHRISTMAS DECORATION WITH HER LOVELY FAMILY. HER MEMORY IS STILL KEPT ALIVE IN OUR HOME WITH THE MANY LITTLE CHRISTMAS GIFTS WE RECEIVED OVER THE YEARS. WE LOOK AROUND AND THERE IS A HAPPY MEMORY OF OUR DEAR FRIEND.
EACH PERSON WAS TREATED AS EQUAL AND SHE HAD A KIND WORD FOR ALL OF US.
A FRIEND LIKE CAM ONLY COMES ONCE IN A LIFETIME. A SPECIAL TREASURE.

My family joins me in offering our condolences.  We will all miss "Mem Mem" Every time we returned to Maryland, Ava, Annabel & Jack had to go and see "Mem Mem".  She had been a part of their life in Maryland and the connection continued when we moved to Georgia.  We are privileged to have known the lovely Cam

I send my condolences to all of you.  I too will miss my friend, Cam, tremendously.  As I return home and see her house dark, it is a wake up reminder that my friend is gone.  In her kind and loving way, she always called me when I arrived home so we could make plans to do something but most of all to let me know someone cared that I was home.  We solved the problems of the world, had fun adventures and enjoyed each other's company.  I will miss her so much!

Mrs. Smathers was our beacon of grace, beauty and dignity.  We could always rely on her for some nugget of wisdom and we benefited so much from her loving and generous hospitality and her sunny smile.  We will miss her and we will keep her and all of your family in our prayers.  But it is so consoling to know she will be looking out for us from her place in heaven.

I am so sorry for your loss.  But we were so lucky to have her with us as long as we did.  Mrs. Smathers was an incredible lady.  She was kind, generous, thoughtful, and full of fun.  She always made you feel good when you were around her.  Even in times of great sadness, she maintained a positive outlook. She will not be forgotten.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you.  "Mem-Mem" was a great woman who devoted every moment of her life to the well-being of her family.  She had love for everyone and always made me feel welcome at her many get-togethers.  She will be sorely missed!
