Chul is survived by his wife, Young Ok Hong; his son Hahn Sam Hong; and his daughter Susan Hong; his mother Sun Joo Hong.
Chul was preceded in death by his father Yong Bo Hong.
A viewing at church for Chul will be held Thursday, June 2, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Korean United Methodist Church of Greater Washington, 1219 Swinks Mill Road, McLean, Virginia 22102. With a funeral service following Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 7:00 PM. A family viewing will occur Friday, June 3, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904. A committal service and burial will occur Friday, June 3, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Norbeck Memorial Park, 16625 Batchellors Forest Road, Olney, Maryland 20832.
