
Born on June 25, 1932, in Memphis, Tennessee, and raised in the Chicago, IL and Gary, IN areas, Mr. Millen led a life defined by dedication to family, community, and the sport of golf.
He graduated from the University of Dubuque in 1955 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Following his graduation, Mr. Millen served honorably in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957. He subsequently embarked on a distinguished career in public service, working for both the federal government and the government of the District of Columbia. He retired in 1989 as an Economic Development Specialist with the D.C. Office of Business Development.
A lifelong golf enthusiast, Mr. Millen was a devoted member of the Foreball Golf Club for more than 40 years. He also treasured his regular trips to California, where he joined his brothers, Emerson and Michael, for memorable rounds of golf and family gatherings.
Mr. Millen is survived by his daughter, Lori; his sister, Bonnie McLeary of Chicago, IL; his brother, Michael Millen of Moreno Valley, CA; as well as several nieces, cousins, and many dear friends.
A celebration of Mr. Millen's life will be held on April 24, 2026 at Hines Rinaldi Funeral Home in Silver Spring, MD.
