Dylan Earl Meyer, a rising young comedian, died at age 31, May 26, 2018. Beloved son, brother, fiancée, and uncle. Survived by father Michael, mother Mollie, brother Ian, sister Megan, nephews Lucas and Ryan, fiancée Shani, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, in addition to countless dear friends that he considered family.
He was born in Tallahassee, Florida and lived in Reno, Nevada briefly before coming to Rockville, Maryland where he matured to the kind, smart, and funny man that he was. He graduated from Rockville High School and attended Montgomery College before finding that his passion was comedy and creative writing. He was a rising star in the DC comedy scene. He was climbing to even greater heights having already been seen in ten states and four countries and had recently won the first-place title at The DC Improv's Comedy Kumite: Tournament of Champions.
He worked for the non-profit National Association for the Education of Young Children, which works to promote high-quality early learning for all young children. In addition to his day job, and his comedy nights and weekends, he was planning his wedding to the love of his life Shani, his high school sweetheart.
Although his life was cut far too short he will be in our hearts forever and we hope that everyone that knew him will keep his spirit alive by treating others as he did, with kindness and welcoming arms, and approach the world with a sense of humor.
