Eric was born in Atlanta, GA to Emil Young Bortey and Mavis Nana-Adjoa Puplampu in January 1984. He would spend the majority of his life in Montgomery County, eventually making Silver Spring, MD his home. In July 2015, he married Monique and together would raise 4 children.
Eric was a proud Ghanaian man. Despite being born in the United States, he took every opportunity available to learn Ghanaian culture. Eric enjoyed nothing more than making memories with his wife and children. From family outings to amusement parks or restaurants to family dance-offs in the living room, Eric was passionate about family life.
