Gaston was an amazing person! He had just come back from one of his many trips, and I caught him in the hallway of our employment and captured his beautiful smile! That’s something that never changed no matter what he might have been going through that smile was there and made you smile. I’m so going to miss us watching football 🏈 together and I will be thinking of you when the Steelers play (our joke). We are so heartbroken.  We will never forget Gaston. He was a good friend. We looked forward to seeing him every Monday at La Quinta. He was a one of a kind.  One of the kindest people ever. Praying for comfort for family and friends. Love, Mark + Karen Gannucci (Southwest family)

My heart goes out to you and everyone that loved him. This is such a huge loss.  Words can't describe how sorry I am. You are in my prayers. 
Gaston was such a kind, sweet man.  His heart is bigger than his body.  The one memory that I have of Gaston is how he loved tennis. I was so happy and excited to hear this. I myself love tennis too.  So, he challenged me.  Of course, I had forgotten my shoes that day so off to the store we went.   We get to the court, and if you know Gaston he comes prepared.  He is dressed like he is going to the Wimbledon championship. He is put together from head to toe.    Here I was thinking that we were just going to volley the ball back and forth, get a little bit of exercise, enjoy the fresh air, and just be outside. The next thing I knew he serves me the ball at lightning speed, and it goes flying right past me.  Right then I knew that I was playing out of my league. Gaston was ready to have a straight-up full-on tennis match.   I knew he was not going to take it easy on me.  We had a great day and will be ever grateful for his kindness.  Gaston was such an incredible athlete, he was quick, and smart he was such a great man and would do anything for anyone.    He talked a lot about his family and how proud he was. He was a gentle soul.  He will be truly missed.  I am so thankful for God putting him in my path.  He was a blessing to many.  I will talk to him in my prayers and keep him close in my heart.  
Gaston, I will be working on my game because when I see you again it's on.

Gaston was my friend and coworker for 13yrs or more. He had a big heart always there for his family friends and coworkers. His smile lit up a room I will truly miss that. To his family you all have my deepest condolences 💐 The LaQuinta and Southwest Airlines families are going to miss you so much.Rest in Heaven my friend. I’ll love and miss you always!

Gaston is survived by his children, Michel and Monika, his ex-wife, Ginette , his brother Pierre and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
His parents and one brother predeceased him.
