On October 26,2016 Geraldine Mae Britt of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Elwood Britt; loving mother of Melech Yehudah (Malcah), Donna Britt (Kevin Merida), Bruce Britt and the late Darrell Britt; cherished grandmother of Donté, Jason, Ashaunta, David, Raquel, Katonyah, Michal, Malachi, Bethlehem, Doniel, Justin Hamani, Darrell and Skye. Adored great-grandmother of Avi, Nasi, Kai, Nyah, Kylah, Arie, Jacob, Surai, Shiloh, Harper, Jason Jr., Brooklyn, Bria and Gia. She is also survived by step-grandchildren, Schoma Gardner and special friend and "like a step-grandchild, Jason Reyes; and beloved companion, James Nickson. Geraldine graduated from Temple University. She was also an award winning saleswoman for Supreme Life Insurance Company. She worked for Indiana state employment services. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 10 a.m. until the time of service 11 a.m. at Peoples Congregational United Church of Christ, 4704 13th St., NW. Washington, DC. Interment will take place on Friday, November 4, 2016 10:30 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD.
