Gregory Gabriel Kavadias

On Monday, June 19, 2017, Gregory Gabriel Kavadias of Washington, DC, formerly of Olney, MD, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours. Born on May 16, 1970, he was the beloved husband of Dunishia Kavadias; the loving father of Gabriel and Vasili Kavadias, the beloved son of Gabriel and Kiriakoula Kavadias, loving brother of Theodora Kavadias and Demetrios (Erica) Kavadias. He is also survived by his four nieces, one nephew and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends in the U.S., Greece and Australia. He fought a long and difficult battle with bravery and determination, while leaning heavily on his Orthodox faith. He will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 26, 2017 from 11 am – 12 noon at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church of Washington DC, currently located at St. Andrew Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, 15100 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland, where his funeral service will immediately commence at 12 noon. His interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, MD.
