

Leslie “Les” Wolf passed away on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 at his home at Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, Maryland. Les was born in the Bronx, New York on December 28th, 1937 and enjoyed his time as a student attending Stuyvesant High School in Manhattan. Then graduated from Brooklyn College with a degree in Chemistry. While working at Orbach’s Department Store in Manhattan in the early 1960s, he met the love of his life Shirley. They were married in July of 1962 and then moved first to Arlington, Virginia. Eventually they relocated to Bowie and Rockville in the Maryland suburbs, where Les and Shirley had almost 55 years together while raising four boys.
He spent nearly 40 years working for the Department of Commerce at the US Patent and Trademark Office, mainly as a Chemical Classification Patent Examiner, primarily based in Crystal City, Virginia. Also, Les went back to school and earned his JD in law from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. His hobbies and personal interests included bowling, pinball, reading, Broadway shows, British comedy, family road trips, and sailing on many cruise vacations with Shirley.
Les is survived by his son's Ross (Dayna), Adam (Michelle Gordon) and Jeffrey (Bonita Meadows-Wolf). He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Shirley (nee Smith) Wolf and his son Todd.
A funeral service will be held at the Riderwood Village Chapel at 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, Maryland, 20904 on Monday, December 5th at 11 am

Burial will follow at King David Cemetery - 7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, VA 22042
The family will receive visitors immediate following internment in Brookeville, MD
The family will receive visitors on Tuesday and Wednesday in Pikesville, MD.
