On Tuesday, March 21, 2023, Mack Simpkins, Jr. of Silver Spring, MD. Father of Kevin Simpkins, Derek Simpkins and Myrna Simpkins; grandfather of Derek Simpkins, Jr., Destini Quispe, Dacoda Morgan, Denali Morgan and Deja Simpkins; He is also survived by his two great grandchildren and his friend Rosie B. Hopkins. He served in the US Navy for 21 years, retiring at the rank of HM1 after which he worked at Bethesda Naval Hospital for 11 years as a Radiology Technician. During his time with the US Navy, he served three tours of duty in Vietnam where he received five Good Conduct Awards and one Navy Achievement Medal. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD from 3pm – 5 pm.
