Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, Major came to Washington, DC when he was in the Air Force then stayed in the area after he left the service. Major pursued higher education in sales and went on to build a career in clothing retail.
Before his civilian career, Major served his country honorably as an airman in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. His service and sacrifice reflected his quiet strength and deep sense of duty.
Though he had no siblings, spouse, or children, Major lived a life marked by independence, integrity, and quiet resilience. He will be remembered with respect and gratitude by those who knew him and by the community he served.
