

Marie Therese Jeanne Pierre- Louis, age 93, of Clarksburg, Maryland passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020. Marie was born August 16, 1928 in Trouin, Haiti to Thaylor Plantin, and Miltinette (Volcimus) Plantin.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband Emmanuel Pierre-Louis; Parents; Thaylor Plantin, Miltinette (Volcimus) Plantin; brothers and sisters; Letaine Plantin, Ismaelie Jacob, Louis Plantin, Jerome Plantin, Ludovic Plantin, Liliane Alvarez.
She is survived by her children: Ketly Rabel, Ingrid Renaud, Harry Pierre-Louis, Edwidge Pierre-Louis, Claude Pierre-Louis, Margarette Sinclair; sons-in-law Irving Rabel, Marcel Renaud, Neville Sinclair; daughters-in-law Vinette Pierre-Louis, Karen Pierre-Louis, Elizabeth Pierre-Louis, Celina Pierre-Louis; grandchildren Tiffani, Dominique, Kathleen, Kirlyn, Irving Jr., Taylor; great grandchildren Valyn, Aria, Bella, Naomi, sisters Jeanine Plantin, Elise Lemaire, countless of relatives and friends.
Marie Therese Pierre-Louis, affectionately called Marie, was born Marie Therese Jeanne Plantin.
At the age of 26 Marie met the love of her life, Emmanuel Pierre-Louis, whom she married January 4, 1955, until his passing on March 31st, 2012. Together they had six children.
Fifty-three years ago, she migrated to the United States with her husband and initially resided in Brooklyn, New York before moving to Silver Spring, MD. In the early days Marie worked in retail at Bloomingdale's NY, later became a medical assistant, and took care of the sick.
Marie was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, Aunt, cousin, educator, caretaker, and sales consultant. She was very loving, compassionate, aspiring, committed to her family, friends, and neighbors. She always found the goodness in the most challenging situation. She was modest and never took her blessings for granted.
Marie’s passion was praising the words of the Lord. She had been a member of Our Lady of Grace, Leisure World since 1996 after moving from Brooklyn, NY. Her life centered on God and family.
Limited funeral arrangements are scheduled for Monday April 13, 2020 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Silver Spring, MD 20906. Followed by an entombment to be held at 11:30 AM at Gate Of Heaven Cemetery, 13801 Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20906-5271.
