Maureen Grace Ann Aarons of Columbia, Maryland, passed away on July 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born on June 29, 1955, in Kingston, Jamaica. She spent most of her adolescent years in Bermuda with her father’s sister and later moved to Silver Spring, Maryland, to live with her mother and family. Shortly thereafter, she received her diploma from Paint Branch High School in 1976. She went on to work in the banking industry for many years until she decided to follow her dreams to become a licensed daycare provider, which she found a love for from her mother. After retirement from daycare, she spent time caring for the elderly as a home health aide.
Maureen was known to many as a kind, gentle, and selfless person. She was a devoted mother to her son and many others often referred to her as “Momma Mo”. Her doors were always open to loved ones that needed a place to stay and food to eat and she made everyone feel like family around her.
Maureen was a faithful, long-time member of Bethesda International Church of the Lord Jesus Christ and served as the eldest Deaconess of the church. She loved the Lord and told anyone who would listen about the favor and goodness of God. She often spent her free time reading her Bible and listening to gospel music.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son Corey Antonio Morgan (Rachelle), grandchildren Corey N. Morgan, C’Khai A. Morgan, Chloe O. Morgan and Cylie D. Morgan, brothers David Robinson (Ann Marie) and Donovan Robinson (John), and a host of caring relatives and many loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother (Olivia D. Robinson), father (Kenneth L. Aarons), and aunt (Doreen Stevens).
