Maxine was born in Alexandria, St. Ann, Jamaica on April 17, 1955. She was the daughter of Ives Rose Pascoe and Leslie Perry, both deceased. Maxine was the fourth of nine children. She is survived by her two children, Courtney and Kimberly; son-in-law, Rufus; two grandchildren, Sydney and Taylor; six sisters, Beverly, Pauline, Prudence, Jacqueline, Arlene, and Paula; two brothers, Clifton and Paul; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Maxine was predeceased by two husbands, Trevor and John ("Jack").
Maxine retired from the US Customs and Border Protection, where she worked as a Customs Agent in Vermont. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting along with playing Scrabble and Backgammon. She also had a love for language, literature, and the arts, enjoying poetry, writing, painting, and playing piano.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2022 at 4 pm at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, Maryland 20904, preceded by a visitation, beginning at 2 pm, at the funeral home.
