Oh my, it's been almost three years but I just heard of Mitchell's passing.   I am shocked and so sad.  It was a long time ago that Mitchell and I worked together, along with Tim and Barbara at VLA in New York.  This was a special group of people that did good things and had a lot of fun.  Both in the office and out!I am so fortunate that I had the opportunity to become friends with them which of course included Mitchell . What an unforgettable guy.  He was so funny, smart, and quick witted.  He called me Susella.  I'll never forget that nickname.  I moved to Atlanta and lost touch with my office mates though I've never forgotten them.  To Mitchell’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. Love and peace to you dear, sweet Mitchell.

To Mitchell's family and friends -

Mitchell was one of the sweetest, funniest, warmest and most gentle men I ever met.  We worked together for a number of years at Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts in NYC back in the 1980s.  Having Mitchell as an office mate was steadily hilarious, as he and I both had few inhibitions about acting in profoundly silly ways to make each other, and fellow staff members, laugh.  We spent time together both at work and at play.  I am so sorry that we lost touch when I left legal practice and transitioned to teaching.  Mitchell, rest in peace, my good and gentle friend.

Please accept my sincere sympathy on Mitchell's passing.  I have not seen him in many years, but have very fond memories of working with him at Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, many years ago.   What I remember most about Mitchell was the striking combination of his sharp legal thinking together with his warm, affectionate nature, his quickness and his playfulness.  That particular office team had a whole lot of fun together -- we even vacationed together over weekends a couple of times!  -- and Mitchell was one of the primary reasons it was so much fun.  Please know that, in the Quaker phrase, I am holding his family and friends in the Light.
