I was, and still am so saddened to hear of Dr. Shapiro's passing.  My love and sympathy to his family during what has to be a very trying time.  I knew Dr. Shapiro through the eyes of an "annoying boyfriend" to one of his daughters and he was 
always very kind and generous. He raised a beautiful, loving family and was always a "class act" as someone to look up to.  I know you have many fond memories and I pray they may bring comfort in this heartfelt time.

Our heartfelt condolences to you, Bunny, and your family on your loss. Mort was always a sweetheart and gentleman; respected and admired by his colleagues and friends. We personally are saddened to lose another member of our circle of friends.

I had the good fortune of working with Mort for 30 years in our medical practice, along with Dr. Bernard Ostrow. Mort was a very talented physician and was proud to be a doctor. I relied on his advice and experience in many clinical situations, and occasionally in personal ones. He was kind to his patients and most considerate of his colleagues and office staff. Fortunately for him he had the love and support of his awesome Bunny and a loving, close family. Mary Kay and I send our love and sympathy to all.
