He was born in Syria and lived until 91. Both Asis Esper and his wife Jean, planted the Arabic Baptist Church in Washington, DC. He is survived by his wife, Jean, children Lila, Phil and Lisa; grandchildren Jesse, Dana, Dina, Shiloh and Miqueas.
Rev. Dr. Ajaj had a passion for the good news of Jesus Christ. He traveled the world and the United States discipling, evangelizing and encouraging the multitude of people in the faith. His joy and humor brought much light and laughter to those around him. We know he is celebrating lots of reunions.
It is hard to record the extent of his impact on the world. One of the major highlights is his ability to bring together people of all ethnicities in the Christian world. There are few places, like Arabic Baptist Church where community was shared among such a diversity of Christians from the Arabic world.
The memorial service for Rev. Ajaj will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Alexandria, VA.
