Paul was a man whose presence could never be overlooked. Tall, strong, and beautifully built, he stood out in any crowd not only because of his stature, but because of the spirit he carried. When Paul entered any room, you felt him. He had a grounding presence, steady and reassuring, the kind of man people naturally gravitated toward. To those who loved him most, Paul was more than a man, he was direction, stability, and home. He was true north.
Born on July 16, 1977, in Kenya, Paul relocated to the United States as a child, carrying with him a rich heritage and a deep connection to family, culture, and community. Throughout his life, he demonstrated leadership not through force, but through humility, generosity, and an unwavering respect for others. Paul accepted everyone as they were. He lifted people up, saw their worth, and always placed others before himself.
Paul lived fully and passionately. He passed away on December 6, 2025, while doing something that brought him pure joy, playing basketball with great friends. It was fitting that his final moments were spent in laughter, movement, brotherhood, and love, exactly the way he lived.
A chef by trade and by heart, food was Paul’s love language. Cooking was how he cared, how he connected, and how he created memories. Every gathering, every meal, every shared table was an extension of his heart. Friends and family eagerly anticipated each opportunity to eat his food, whether at a celebration he hosted or at Hakuna Matata and Little Kampala, where his warmth, hospitality, and culinary talent came together. To be welcomed to Paul’s table was to be made to feel seen, valued, and loved.
Paul was a devoted father, leading with patience, strength, and tenderness. He was a wonderful son, honoring his roots and family with pride and respect. As a brother, he was loyal, protective, and deeply caring, the kind of sibling everyone hopes to have. His family was his greatest joy and most sacred responsibility.
To his wife, Paul was steadfast love. He was guidance in moments of uncertainty, strength in times of weakness, and peace in the storm. Like true north, Paul provided direction, grounding, and assurance, always pointing toward love, truth, and home.
Though his physical presence is no longer with us, Paul’s legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, the meals shared, the lessons taught, and the love he gave so freely. His laughter, wisdom, and commanding yet gentle presence will forever echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
In honoring his wishes, Paul will be laid to rest in Uganda, a place deeply meaningful to him and a final resting place that reflects his journey, heritage, and heart.
Paul will be remembered as a leader, a provider, a protector, and a man who lived with purpose. He will be missed beyond measure and loved beyond time.
