Peter was a successful entrepreneur for more than 40 years. He grew up in Fuzhou, China before moving to the United States in 1981 to pursue his American dream, a dream well-fulfilled into his final days. Experiencing both the triumphs and trials of small business ownership, he never allowed obstacles to overshadow his tenacious and persevering spirit.
Peter loved to learn and saw education as a lifelong endeavor, teaching himself how to become particularly handy around his home and his businesses. From the garden to heavy machinery, and everything in-between, Peter was the one who could fix it all. Notwithstanding his career and interests, his true pride and joy were his family. A supportive father of three, he was also a doting grandfather to five grandchildren. He always looked forward to holidays and dinners with the entire family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Cun Zhu Zheng and Zhi Qin Chen. He survived by his wife of 46 years, Li Qin Shi, his son David and spouse Lei, daughter Amy and spouse Josh, daughter Lili, and his five grandchildren Penelope, Phoebe, Andrew, Ava, and Eamon.
In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, Peter is survived by his siblings Ying, Li, Helen, Cindy, and Robert, and their families.
