Devoted husband of the late Augusta Barnes; cherished son of the late Philip and Barbara Barnes of Silver Spring, MD; loving father of Kathleen (Joseph) Garner of Sarasota, FL, Raymond (Janet) Barnes, Jr. of Frederick, MD, Rebecca (Richard) Sarraille of Bethesda, MD, Nancy (Kevin) McGarigal of Shutesbury, MA, and Laura (Yaron) Semititsky of Rockville, MD; beloved grandfather to 12; great grandfather to four; and brother to Lois (Charles) Rice and Everett (Joan) Barnes, and his late brother Philip (Vivian) Barnes, Jr.

Friends may call at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD, for a viewing on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Services will be held on Saturday, September 23 at 11 a.m., at St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church, 3820 Aspen Hill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20906.
