Richard G. Sherman of Silver Spring, MD passed away peacefully with loved ones by his side on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Richard was born to Leon and Frances Sherman in Washington, DC in 1940.
He was proud of the volunteer work he did to support the American Cancer Society. He enjoyed playing softball, on local and traveling teams, and many other sports.
He is survived by his wife Gloria of 62 years, son David (Megan) and daughter Debbie (Michael). Five grandchildren,
Rachel, Ryan, Luke, Jack and Reed, and brother Jimmy (Ann).
Memorial service on Tuesday, February 18, 11:00am at Temple Emanuel, Kensington. Shiva at Sherman's home 7:00pm.
Donations gratefully accepted at Friends of Brookside Gardens and JSSA Hospice.
