Rosa Lamari, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed on September 20, 2022. Rosa was born May 18, 1928 to Carlo and Filomena D'Emilia in Fontana Liri, Italy. Rosa married and immigrated to the United States in 1954, settling with her family in the Washington area. Rosa made a living as a hair stylist in Aspen Hill, MD, while her husband Paul ran his own electrical contracting company. Rosa loved family, church, and playing cards, and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Paul B. Lamari. Rosa is survived by three children--Joseph Lamari ESQ. (Lisa), Cary Lamari (Wanda), and Elsie Perone (Jim), seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, who affectionately refer to her as Nona.
Rosa's viewing will be held at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral home, located at 11800 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20904 on Thursday, September 29, 2022. The public viewing will occur from 5 to 8 p.m., with a private family viewing starting at 4 p.m. Burial Mass will be held on September 30, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St. Andrews Church, located at 11600 Kemp Mill Road, Silver Spring, MD 20902. Grave site burial will occur immediately after Mass at 11:30 a.m. at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Aspen Hill, MD. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Andrews Church at the above address in Rosa's memory.
