RUTH MAE SHIGLEY (92) passed away peacefully in her sleep at her residence in Leesburg, FL. on January 3, 2026. Survivors include her children: Brenda Pritchard (Ken), Linda Graffenberg (James), Nancy Barkhimer (Don) and David Shigley (Cheryl); one brother, Fred Simmons (Jean); six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one great, great grandchild. Her husband of 53 years, Russell, predeceased her as well as another brother and two grandchildren.
Friends and relatives may call at the Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8.
A service will be held at the Living Word International Christian Church, 16819 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring on Friday, January 30, 2026 at 1pm.
The family welcomes all who knew Ruth or were touched by her kindness, generous spirit, and love of the Lord to join them in a celebration of her life.
