I Know Chandu from Salisbury Park . He was very close neighbor to us . Always he had a smiling face . He had lots of respect to everyone. When going to college from Park to Spicer , he always offered his seat to any one of us in the bus . I remember his jokes in the bus , that made everyone smile . 
         Chandu has left , all his loved ones behind . We have all his good memories to cherish. 
          We will see you soon , when Jesus returns.

My family is saddened to loose a little brother so soon. My memories of Chandu goes back to close to 40 years. He was born in Vizag but I did not know much for the first 8 years. After that, I have been seeing him and meeting him while meeting the family. He really got close to me, Rena and Stella only after immigrating to the USA. 

Whenever we visit Kabab place (next to his shop ESHA), we always made sure we spend at least 30 minutes to an hour making fun and catching up on many things. He always have introduced me as his big brother. We have enough memories of him to last till Jesus comes. He will be always fresh in our memory and we really dont feel that he is gone. This is our status with Chandu

The picture here was taken 25 years ago. I just got married and flew to Poona the second week. Chandu still small and was always there.

Death is not something we should ever rightly want to overcome. Love is in this sense eternal. Mourning does not have to have an endpoint. We can bear that this loss will never leave us.

Chandu- a good son, a caring brother, a loving husband, a great father and a generous friend was God's gift to us......



Seasons come and seasons go. Money comes and money goes. Friends come and friends go but a loving friend like Chandu will never come again.......

Chandu, Chandu, Chandu! Everyone lovingly called you Chandu, but to me you will always be Shailander_ass. I don't understand why you chose this long sleep raaa, neither can I comprehend death and its existence. It is easier to mourn and cry in silence than to write these words today. We are all sad, confused, and mad although we know you are in a better place, without pain and suffering. But we still miss you so much raaa. Sorry raa didn't get to say goodbye to you. Even though you are gone and no one can fill this void, your endless pranks will remain with us, forever, in our memories. His coming cannot be soon enough; looking forward to that glorious day. 

We all have our own personal and special memories, of Chandu. I first met Chandu at Spicer, the place we all form eternal friendships. His endless pranks instantly drew almost everyone to him. What I will always remember is the way he could make us laugh with his ever charming sense of humor. There was never a sentence out of his mouth that didn’t make one laugh. I may not be his sister but I feel like one, I may not be his best friend but I most certainly feel like one. Strangely enough no one could feel like a stranger around him and we all feel very lucky to have had him in our lives. He most definitely has left a void that none can explain.

Our hearts go out to his lovely family, his beautiful wife Sarika, his lovely children, his wonderful parents and siblings. We want you all to know what a special person he was to all of us. And to feel proud and honored by the life’s this amazing person has touched. He has friends all around the world, and they all cherish his friendship and will miss him dearly. Today we all feel the void but know that we all love you and are praying for you. May you find eternal comfort and peace in his memories. Love you all and be assured you are not alone in this; our prayers will always go with you. Our God will wipe every tear, there will be no more death or crying . Rev 21:4

When all words of comfort seem meaningless to your broken heart and nothing seems to last forever, Only the Lord can and will.......

Dearest Chandu,
Where do I start or how do I express the great void you have left in my heart—a void that can never be filled.  You are going to be sorely missed by me, the family and many friends that you made as you traveled through this earthly journey.  You came on the stage of life as a precious baby and played your part beyond everyone’s expectations.  You left the stage so early and silently, never hurting anyone.  Your goal in life was to make everyone happy.  You played your part extremely well.  You made everyone happy.  Grandpa loved to be in your company.  He would ask me every Sunday to take me to your store.  You made him laugh which left him on cloud nine.  Both of your laughter rings in my ears as sweet music.  I would give anything to bring back those precious times.  I am going to treasure that beautiful memory as long as live.   
You affected not only our lives but others too. 
You always helped where it was needed and showed that you really cared.
You realized happiness brings happiness.
You were kind and gentle to all who crossed your paths.
You were a true treasure to everyone who knew you.
You were everything true contentment is made of.
You were everything family and friends could ask for.
You showed your beautiful colors day by day.
You touched many lives and were much loved. 
You shared everything asking nothing in return.
Thank you for being the beautiful person you were.
You left us very early in life.  We are heartbroken. We are going to miss you and grieve your loss with tears, but as children of God we know that you are only sleeping in Christ.  Chandu we await that beautiful morn when Christ will come and take us home.  There will be no more sickness, no pain, no separation.  We will with glee shout O death, where is thy sting? Chandu, was who I was closest to among the Suvarnaraj boys. His subtle sense of humour was what made him so unique and fun to be around.
When I invited him to Sydney, his reply was, “ Sydney? You invite me to Mars and I’ll be there.”
That was simply Chandu!
When I look back at our chats and memories over the last years, I choke!
No words can express the grief.

Chandu will be missed by all of us.  I cherish his fun, laughter and humour..  No Christmas program went by without our Santa, Chandu.  His untimely  death has left a void. Terribly shocked, when we heard of the sad and untimely demise of our most beloved child, who was so close to our heart, grew up as a family member, still remains the most unforgettable character in our hearts!
As newlyweds, we rented a house next to CMJs in Sec'bad. Our first visitor was Chandu, and he continued to be our regular guest. Most of the time he was with us and grew up as a family member.
Hard to believe, we still are not able to digest this reality that has befallen us all. So strong was our bond that he continues to remain in our hearts.
We understand the deep pain and agony of CMJs and other bereaved family members, we stand by you. 
Please accept our heartfelt condolences. We pray that the Lord will comfort and strengthen us all to withstand this overwhelming grief, even as we continue to look forward to the day we all can celebrate with our loved ones.

Besides being a close relative, Chandu was a good friend. He is know for keeping everyone around him happy, entertained and laughing (till one’s belly cramps!!!). His jokes and comments were non-political and his intentions were never hurtful. 

He cares for others: I know several people in Narsapur, who are being supported by Chandu and Sarika. 

I’m reminded of an incident: Chandu, Dharmi, Manoj (Chinni), Kasu and I were in Hyderabad Church during vespers listening to a renowned speaker (in our sense), when he used the phrase ‘get pride life out of your life’ in South Indian - kind of accent. Chandu spontaneously and repeatedly said  ‘fried rice’ in his signature accent. The speaker heard it and started targeting his message on us stating ‘I don’t care if you are sons of principals....... However, Chandu jovially said ‘Sir, how to get fried rice out of our life?’ The speaker joined us in laughter. 

He often used to say ‘Narsapur is next to Singapore’

Chandu’s passing is heart-rending. He’ll be missed. His void in the family can never be filled. May God console and be with the family.

Sarika, Sandhya and myself would like you to know that the heartbroken pain and loss you are going through is immeasurable. We feel the same way. The depth of sorrow you are going through makes you feel helpless. Days seem endless, no one to hold your hand, no more memories to make. Our heavenly Father, knowing you will go through this painful time, has a promise written for you to rely upon, 
" For I am the LORD your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says Sarika, Do not fear; I will help you."  Isaiah 41:13. May this promise bring comfort, peace, surround you and kids with love as you grieve. 

My heart goes out to my cousins Pastor and Mrs Suvarnaraj Chintha.  According to natural order, our sons are supposed to bury us as we age and pass away.  But laying our youthful, promising son down is most heart breaking and painful.  My heart pains at the very thought of it. May God grant you both strength to go through this excruciating painful period.
As for my niece, the voice ringing in my ear....
You are too young to be a window.  The pain, you and the children are going through.... I feel it.  Please know that you have a family that loves you very much and we are grieving with you, crying with you and sharing your pain.  May God give us all strength, comfort and peace.

Shilender Raj, Chandu as we affectionately call him, was always a lovable person, very humble and modest in demeanor. I went to the same high school that Chandu attended at Vizag. Chandu was always disciplined in whatever he does.  Has very heartful and gentle smile that makes him standout in the crowd.  The imprint he has left out will always be remembered and cherished. I express my heartfelt condolences to the family members and would pray that, GOD Almighty would comfort and strengthen the family.
