Stephen “Stevie” Tomas Banda, a beloved son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away on January 8, 2026, at the age of 58. Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, Stevie graduated from Rock Terrace High School in 1985. Before retiring in 2023, he dedicated 38 years to serving his country and community as a Federal Employee supporting the U.S. Military. In his free time, Stevie enjoyed spending quality time with family, vacationing in the Outer Banks, and quiet time, which he spent doing puzzles and trivia. He loved sharing fun facts and making people laugh. Stevie will be remembered for his generosity, determination, and kindness. Stevie leaves behind his parents, Frank and Valerie Banda; sister Yasmin (Ed) Stevens (Banda); nieces/nephews: Kristin (Jason), Eddie (Kelsey), AJ (Kiley), Asher, Mason, and Austin; cousins: Michael, Frank (Amy), Dena, Tammy, Tony (Lindsey), Angela, Kelly; and God Mother Aunt Carole. He will be deeply missed by many.
