Suzanne S. Coan passed away on February 2, 2021 at Riderwood Village in Silver Spring, Maryland. Suzanne was energetic and artistic, and she focused much of her attention on her late husband Howard and her son James.

She kept in close contact with her family, especially her brother Lance and sister Dale. While she stayed informed with the news, and she also read more lighthearted comics. She danced and performed in musicals growing up. This interest in the arts continued, as she frequently sang songs, made creative and entertaining art projects, and listened to music on YouTube.
Suzanne had an incredible ability to remember the names and details of many people. She helped her high school find classmates for her 50th reunion. Afterward, she proceeded to help the next three reunions, remembering key details about her classmates’ younger siblings a half-century later.
She was a helpful volunteer at the local elementary school. She treated the children with respect. When they needed rides to various activities, she graciously provided them. Suzanne also went out of her way to help her next-door neighbors who were new to the U.S.
As her husband’s health declined, she did all she could to help him. She also stayed in close and frequent contact with her son.
Many friends and family will miss her.
