Teresita P. Sarmiento

On January 15, 1958 the Lord blessed this world with the fun-loving spirit of Teresita Paasa Sarmiento in Licab, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Teresita, fondly called as Tess, was the 4th out of eight children. On October 24, 2017, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, He decided it was time for her to come home. Teresita will be lovingly remembered as a joyful soul who enjoyed singing, karaoke, dancing, cooking and being surrounded by family and friends. Tess was predeceased by her husband of 13 years, Rafael Sarmiento. Her spirit lives on in her son, Melvin Roy Medina and wife Javee; daughter Tricia Grace Abreu and husband Matthew. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Elijah Roy Medina, Caleb Roy Medina & Selah Rae Medina; three loving sisters Jean, Lalaine & Connie. The family gives their greatest gratitude to those who have cared for her in recent years. The family will receive friends on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, 11800 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20904. Funeral service celebrating her life will occur on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Agape Baptist Church, 3920 Alton Place NW, Washington, DC 20016. Interment will take place at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, 12800 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville, MD 20853. A repast will be held in her honor at Agape Baptist Church at 1:00 PM.
