

Thelma was a proficient artist, as well as, obtaining her Master’s of Social Work. She balanced family, career and school in order to achieve her goals. She started the Learning Disabilities Association for the State of Connecticut and was an active member of PFLAG; Always championing the needs of others.
Married to her late husband, Rudolph Federman, for 63 years, Thelma is survived by her children: Keith, Harvey, Jeff, Carol and Brad Federman. She was a proud grandmother to Amanda Merson Scally, William Federman, Cassandra Read, Carly, Julia, Alec, Aris and Eli Federman; and was blessed to have been a great grandmother to Diana and Ruby Federman and Sophia Noelle Scally.
On May 8th, 2024 a graveside service will be held at 12:30 at The Garden of Remembrance Memorial Park at 14321 Comus Road, Clarksburg MD 20871. A live stream will commence and be accessible: https://gardenofremembrance.org/
Shiva will be held at 7:00 pm at Brightview West End (285 N Washington Street, Rockville MD 20850).
