Le 4 Décembre 2020, Papi Bidal est parti pour l’éternité vers la maison du Père. Vidal Vancol est né le 15 janvier 1931 à Cuba.où il a vécu pendant quatre ans avec ses parents, Elionor Vancol, et St. Alien Jean-Charles. Il a laissé Cuba, accompagné de ses parents pour s’établir à Saint-Jean, Haiti. Vidal était marié à Almatude Dumas, décédée en Haïti.
Vidal et Almatude avaient trois tendre enfants: Lousie, Marie Yvane et André. Il avait six sœurs, Anne, Manie, Alice, Carida, Clarice, Madame Silvain et deux frères, Albert et Alphonse. Il a beaucoup de neveux et nièces, qu’il aimait vraiment.
Contrairement à d’autres qui n’ont pas eu cette chance, Vidal était béni et a eu la chance d'avoir six petits-enfants et de les voir grandir. (Medgine Davis, Teddy Mesidor, Keisha Mesidor, Neal Mesidor, Modeline Cabral et Rose Andre Cabral). Il était également béni de rencontrer l’un de ses trois arrière-petits-enfants avant de tomber malade, LePharaoh Davis, Zettie Jerome Davis IV et A’Mora Davis.
Vidal a était un agriculteur et demeurait à Iles-A-Vahces Haïti pendant des années avant de s’établir en Floride, USA en 1978. Après un certain temps, il est deveu malade en Floride et Marie Yvane a décidé de l'amener demeurer avec elle et sa famille dans l’état de Maryland en 1996. Elle a déployé toute son énergie et sa force pour prendre soin de son père jusqu'à ce qu’elle ne peut plus à cause de sa maladie. Elle nous a appris tout ce que nous avions besoin de savoir pour prendre soin de notre grand-père et nous avions pris la responsabilité depuis sa maladie
Papi Vidal était un grand-père craignant Dieu, respectueux, aimant, doux, humble et irremplaçable. Vous nous manquerez. Nous vous aimerons toujours. Que vous vous reposiez en paix avec le Seigneur.
On December 4th 2020, the Lord called Papi Bidal home. Vidal Vancole was born on January 15, 1931 in Cuba. He lived there for four years with his parents, Elionor Vancol, and St. Alien Jean-Charles, who brought him to Haiti to be raised in Saint John. He was married to Almatude Dumas who passed in Haiti.
Vidal and Almatude raised three of his loving children, Lousie, Marie Yvane and Andre. He had six sisters, Anne, Manie, Alice, Carida, Clarice, Madame Silvain and two brothers, Albert and Alphonse. He has three nieces five nephews.
As some might not be able to, Vidal was blessed enough to have six grandchildren and watch them grow. (Medgine Davis, Teddy Mesidor, Keisha Mesidor, Neal Mesidor, Modeline Cabral and Rose Andre Cabral). It was also a blessing for him to meet one of his three great-grandchildren before he became ill, LePharaoh Davis, Zettie Jerome Davis IV and A’Mora Davis.
Vidal lived in and worked as a farmer in Iles-A-Vahces Haiti for years until he came to the US and lived in Florida in 1978. After some time, he became sick in Florida and Marie Yvane decided to bring him to Maryland to live with her and her family in 1996. She took all of her power and strength to care of her father until she couldn’t anymore. She taught us everything we needed to know to take care of our grandpa and took over the responsibility since.
Papi Vidal was a God fearing, respectful, loving, caring, gentle, humble, grandfather who is irreplaceable. You will truly be missed, will forever be loved and may you rest in peace with the Lord.
