William “Bill” Robert Bishop was born to the late Ernestine Howard and late James W. Bishop on November 20, 1944 in Washington, D.C. Also preceding him in death was his devoted step-mother, Jane D. Bishop. William departed this life on March 17, 2021.
William was an amazing and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He also was a devoted friend to many. He enjoyed playing basketball with his grandchildren, spending time with his wife, reading history books, watching sports, and talking with friends. William leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Juanita V. Bishop; daughter, Juanita Bishop Hamlett, and son-in-law, Charles Hamlett; son, William V. Bishop, and daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Bishop; grandchildren, Elias, Joshua, Corinne, Jadon, Maya, Charles Jr. and Devin; brother, James D. Bishop; and many extended family members and friends.
