I worked at Tanner Elementary School with Ms. Myers for two years. I always loved her spirit and anytime you saw her she had a smile on her face. She was a wonderful teacher. She will be deeply missed.

Since the first day we met in the Art Education program at The School of the Art Institute we have been life long friends. She leaves a legacy of friends who loved her deeply and always will. Her strength and spirit it was keeps all of her friends going through this difficult time.

 I went to SAIC  with her and I will miss my Good  Buddy Eorah  she always made  me laugh and smile ..... Love  Always..

Ms. Myers was such a source of positivity for the students at Wells Prep. She made my students feel valued and important and they were always asking how she was doing and if they could make her get well cards throughout the year. I will keep Ms. Myers' spirit in my heart as I teach and carry out the mission she worked towards for so many years of her life.

Dear Naomi, how my heart aches for you and your family.  You were always nice to me, especially when Aquilla was hurt.  I will never forget your kindness.  You and your family will be in my prayers.  Just wanted you to know I love you.

Ms. Myers was my son, Anthony Meade's Art Teacher for the past 4 years.  He looked forward to her class every week. Ms. Myers was such a sweet heart and my son cared for her dearly.  She will truly be missed.  Thank you Ms. Myers for the sunshine that you brought to students everyday!

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Deborah.  She was a wonderful teacher, colleague, and friend.  She will be deeply missed by the students and faculty at Tanner Elementary.

I really miss her so much! She always asked me how my children were doing. And we would have the most awesome conversations about her cats Indiana and Merrill. She loved them as if they were her children! I remember how upset she was when she had to put her oldest cat, Dolly down. She was devastated, but she got Indiana, and he and Merrill would fight so much, it was too funny! I'll miss you, your curly red hair and always-"eggplant" colored nail polish. I tried to get you to lighten up the color, but you were a creature of habit. Everytime I see a "Starbucks" straw-cup with green iced-tea, I'll think of you.

Debb was a great art teacher and a great inspiration to my kindergarten students. She will be deeply missed.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Deborah(Debbie).  We had so many happy times growing up in Brewton, AL. She was always joyful and full of life...she always made school fun. I'm so thankful that we were able to connect on Facebook and remember the fun times together.  My prayers are with you all.

Ms. Myers was a great teacher she taught my children at McCorkle & Wells Prep Elementary. She told my daughter that art is a way to express herself. "Art is whatever you make it, just remember to express yourself". We will miss her dearly.

Ms. Meyers and I worked together at Wells Prep Academy for 6 years. I enjoyed her infectious smile, her funny stories and how sweet she was to me and the students. I couldn't wait to c her again.  I even purchased something for her ( Hello Kitty headphones for iPods) to use at her doctors visits or whenever to cheer her up and let her know I was thinking of her. I can't give it to her now. My condolences to the family of Ms. Myers. I was the Assistant Principal until my retirement in 2011, at Wells Prep Academy where Deborah was employed. Deb was such a joy and the children loved her. She always brightened the day!

Deb was the whole package: a tough cookie, sweet as pie, and the most fun to be around, especially backyard poolside. We made each other laugh easily. We had many lunch, thrift shop outings together, and of course our favorite- Casimir Pulaski Day polish buffet at Red Apple. I miss you terribly, Deb.

Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of Deborah.  I knew her from the Alabama School of Fine Arts, and had, in the past year, reconnected with her on facebook.  Her warmth, humor, loyalty, and kindness I will cherish forever.
