Brenda Lee Goodwin

Goodwin, Brenda L., 43, of Atkinson, NH, and previously of Norridgewock, Maine, passed away as a result of a motorcycle accident in Hartford, Ct on Thursday, Aug.14, 2014. The family would like to convey that safety gear was worn and that speed was not an issue. Born in Nashua, NH on Oct. 4, 1970, she was the daughter of Gerald and Partricia (Fitzgerald) Cyr.

Brenda graduated from Skowhegan High School, Empire Hair Academy, and Kennebec Valley Technical Center in Fairfield as a certified nursing assistant. She loved taking trips on her motorcycle with her husband and close friends, cooking, home improvements and gardening. She was a great lover of animals and spending time at her camp on Lake George. She will be fondly remembered as “full-of-life”.

She is survived by her husband with who she has spent 20 years, Mark Goodwin of Atkinson, NH, her parents of Norridgewock, ME, one brother, Michael Cyr and his wife Sue of Canaan, ME, 3 nephews, Isaiah and Tyler Cyr of Canaan, ME and Christopher Claar of Nashua, NH, one daughter, Alexandria Goodwin of Lewiston, ME, one granddaughter, Mckenna Goodwin of Lewiston, ME, along with relatives and many who loved her.

She was predeceased by her sister, Cheryl A. Cyr.

In lieu of flowers and cards, it is requested that donations of food and equipment be made to your local animal shelter.

A celebration of her life gathering will be held on Sat., Sept. 6th from 1-5Pm at T &B Outback Tavern, 6 Jefferson St., Waterville, ME. Arrangements are under the care of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Me.
