C. Milton Henshaw

He was born on February 27, 1925 in Templeton, MA. a son of Charles R. and Mildred (Brown) Henshaw.

Milton graduated from Templeton High School class of 1944. He married Priscilla Ambrose on November 27, 1944 in Templeton, MA. He worked as a Dairy Farmer all of his life, which he greatly enjoyed. He and his wife enjoyed square dancing and were former members of Maine Square Dancing. They were also very active with their sons and involved with Boy Scouts and the 4-H Club. Milton was a past President of the Maine Farm Bureau, and also a member of the Argi-Mark Dairy Milk Co-op, Eastern Breeders Co-op, member of the Agway committee, and the Masons. He was awarded Outstanding Farmer of the year in 1984. Milton also enjoyed socializing and traveling with his farm friends to committee meetings near and far. He was a former selectman for the town of Wendell, MA. He loved spending time and playing with his grandchildren and looked forward to their special yearly trips to the farm and the Pittsfield Egg Festival. Milton also loved his pets dearly.

He is survived by his two sons; James “Jim” Henshaw, Roy Henshaw and wife Susan, two grandchildren; Elizabeth Musewicz and husband John and David Henshaw, a great grandson; Justen Musewicz, his siblings; Roger, Ralph, and Kirke Henshaw, Edna Haley, and Shirley Barnes, a brother in-law Raymond Ambrose and a special friend and neighbor Jim Madore and family, as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Milton was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife of 65 years Priscilla in 2010, and a brother in-law Roger Ambrose and his wife Sharon.

A visitation will be held at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 5 to 8 pm with the Mason service at 6:30 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date at Pinegrove Cemetery in Templeton, MA.
