She was born in East Madison on December 2, 1925, the daughter of Herbert E. Moore and Natalie (Salsbury) Moore.
She was educated in the Madison Schools.
She was first married to Malcolm L. Knight. Malcolm passed in 1975. She then married Arthur Scott on Oct. 6, 1990 in Brighton. Arthur passed in January of this year.
She worked at Med Wed Shoe Company in Skowhegan for many years as a hand lacer. She retired early, so she could take care of her elderly family members.
She is a member of the East Madison Historical Society and a member of the East Madison Quilters group.
She liked to crochet, do jig-saw puzzles, jumbles, crossword puzzles, loved playing cards, and board games. She was particularly competitive at cribbage but refused to peg for her opponents miscounted points. She considered that “playing mean”. She liked reading, doing the jitterbug, and having a good laugh. She had a great sense of humor and a twinkle in her eye. She loved spending time with her family. In the earlier years, she and Malcolm loved to get together with Charlene and Gil Parlin every Saturday night.
She is survived by three children, Judy Pontiff and her husband, Paul of Queensbury, N.Y., Don L. Knight and his wife, Berenice of Woolwich, Darla Low and her husband, Dave of Earlysville, V.A., 12 grandchildren, Kathy, Lynn, Shawna, Becky, Suzy, Tara, Sam, Adaline, Sara, Jordan, Elyse, and Tia, 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
She was predeceased by her Mother and Father, her husbands, one son, Shane Knight and one brother, Milburn Moore.
