Mark Thomas Bushey1963 - 2016AUGUSTA - Mark Thomas Bushey, 52, passed away on May 19, 2016, with his family at his side. He was born on Sept. 4, 1963, to loving parents Judie and Robert Bushey. Mark had been fighting ALS for several years and had been as brave as anyone we have ever known in his battle with this disease.He graduated from Skowhegan Area High School in 1981 and started college at UMO. After one year he left school and signed up for the U.S. Air Force where he served for four years. Mark then returned to Maine and finished his education at the University of Southern Maine. Upon completion of his education, Mark started employment with an insurance company and later with a pharmaceutical company where he did very well.Mark is survived by his parents of Norridgewock; daughters, Elizabeth and Natalie; son, Matthew; brother, Mike and wife Wanda, their children Ryan and his wife Brittany and their son Aiden, Tayler and Justin; brother, Jason; sister, Heather and her husband Chris and their son Griffin.Mark had many friends and a smile that would melt your heart. Among his many friends were John Greene and John's family.At his request, there will be no funeral service but rather a party to celebrate his life. This will take place later this summer.
