She was born March 26, 1936 in Madison, Maine, the daughter of Ronald A. Pinkham and Roseilla (Wacome) Pinkham.
She attended school at Flagstaff Lake and then Central High School in North New Portland.
She first married Louis E. Charrier II on January 30, 1954 in North New Portland, they were married for 37 years until his passing in 1991. She then married William R. Lowell on May 20, 1993 in North Jay, Maine.
She worked at the area shoe shops in the Skowhegan area for 37 years.
Verletta spent many summers at the Happy Horseshoe Campground in Lexington after retiring. She met Willie while spending time at the Happy Horse Shoe. She loved to travel and for part of the winters she went to Florida. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, and enjoyed riding in their side by side. She was an avid Patriots fan. She enjoyed spending time at Brassua Lake in Taunton-Raynam Township, she enjoyed going to all the kids and grandkids sporting events and Verletta especially loved the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her mom Roseilla Pinkham and her partner Warren Viles of North New Portland; her husband Willie of 25 years of Buckfield; she leaves her eight children, Louis Charrier and his wife Sherry of Cornville, Sheryl Keene and her husband Tom of Skowhegan, Annette Flannery and her husband Les of Skowhegan, Darrin Charrier of Skowhegan, Jackie Fontaine and her husband David of Lewiston, Julie Hinkley and her husband Mike of Florida, William Lowell and his wife Michelle of Sumner, Melanie Herrick and her companion Chris Rousseau of Turner; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; her brother Ronald Pinkham and his wife Judy of Embden; her two sisters, Cecila Dow and her husband Merv of Clinton, Doreen McCarty and her husband Kevin of Madison; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband Louis E. Charrier II; her daughter Anita Jean; her father Ronald Pinkham; her four sisters, Violet Pinkham, Joyce Philbrick, Joann Coolidge, Corinne Browne.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday May 12, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Calvary Cemetery in Skowhegan, Maine.
Arrangements are under the care of Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, Maine.
